One-hour evening concerts will be presented on the Royal Grove stage Monday-Thursday, July 10-13, during Waikiki Steel Guitar Week. The performances will start at 6 P.M. each evening. Harry B. Soria, Jr. will host the performances.

Friday and Saturday ho'olaule'a pageants begin at 5:30 each evening. Each evening features five different Hawaiian steel guitar masters will present programs featuring Hawaiian music and hula. Harry B. Soria, Jr. and Kimo Kahoano will host the pageants.

Next Generation steel guiitar students of the Ke Kula Mele Hawaii School of Hawaiian Music will perform for festival attendees' enjoyment.
An exhibit of vintage and contemporary steel guitars will be presented in the Royal Hawaiian Center's Helumola Hale exhibit room. The exhibit will be open Friday and Saturday. Experts will be on hand to answer questions and talk about the steel guitars.
Honolulu City and County mayor Kirk Caldwell has issued a proclamation declaring the week of July 9-15, 2017, as Hawaiian Steel Guitar Appreciation Week. See the proclamation here.
